We recommend travelling by car to Combloux as the journey is extremely straightforward and takes about 9.5 hours from the port of Calais. Having your own transport in the resort opens up access via the excellent autoroutes to other neighbouring towns/villages within the beautiful Chamonix valley. The possibility of skiing a different resort every day - is certainly feasible if you should so wish.

If you decide to break your journey you will find that the autoroutes have numerous reasonably priced hotels enroute ie Mercure, Ibis, Formula1, Campanille etc. These can be prebooked on the internet by yourselves.
